Silverstone adopts TrackWalk to set a new standard in safety and operations

Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix and one of the world's most iconic racing venues, has adopted TrackWalk to run circuit safety and operations across its site. TrackWalk brings every action, asset, incident and inspection into a single system — from the moment an issue is spotted to the point it's signed off — giving operations teams one live picture of the circuit and the confidence that the work that matters gets done.

With a history stretching back more than 70 years, Silverstone has helped shape modern motorsport — and continues to invest in the technology that keeps it at the front.

TrackWalk was built with race directors and operations teams, and grew out of Dr Campbell Waddell's research into circuit grip and friction. That expertise runs through the platform: a mobile app that captures work trackside in seconds, even offline, and a web command centre that coordinates it, both sharing one live view of the venue.

Dr Campbell Waddell, CEO and Founder of TrackWalk, said:

"Silverstone is not just a benchmark for motorsport, but the benchmark. To have them choose TrackWalk is a powerful endorsement of the way the industry is moving. They honour their heritage, but they are also looking ahead, adopting technology that improves safety, reduces risk, and gives their team greater confidence. We see this as a turning point for how circuits think about operational excellence, and we are proud to be working together to accelerate the future of circuit operations."

Lee Howkins, Operations Director at Silverstone, added:

"TrackWalk has impressed us from the start. The platform makes getting things done happen on time, every time, while giving us a clearer picture of risk across the venue. That means less time on paperwork and more time focused on delivering safe, world-class events. It's a system that directly reduces our liability and supports our commitment to safety."

Silverstone joins a growing number of leading circuits running their operations on TrackWalk — part of a wider shift in how the sport's most demanding venues manage safety, risk and accountability.
